• Checklist for Visa Applications

1. Applications to be accepted for Singaporeans and foreign nationals residing in Singapore.
2. Processing time is 2 working days for Singaporeans and 5 working days for non-Singaporeans.
3. For non-Singaporeans an additional (Fax) form is to be filled.

TOURIST VISA

• Passport with minimum validity of six months and 2 blank pages
• Application forms duly filled and signed [ Date & Places of travel with flight details. (Restricted places of travel to be highlighted if any)]
• Copy of Singapore NRIC in case of foreign nationals
• 1 recent, coloured passport size photographs
• There must be a two month gap between the expiry of the previous Tourist Visa and the application of the current visa.

BUSINESS VISA

• Passport with minimum validity of six months and 2 blank pages
• Application forms duly filled and signed [ Date & places of travel with flight details. (Restricted places of travel to be highlighted if any)]
• • For Non-Singapore Nationals, a Business Visa interview form has to be completed.
• Copy of Singapore NRIC in case of foreign nationals
• Recommendation letter from Employer or Chamber of Commerce
• Invitation letter from Indian Company (If one year or more visa is applied)
• 1 recent, coloured passport size photographs
• Requisite fee

STUDENTS VISA

• Passport with minimum validity of One year and 2 blank pages
• Application forms duly filled and signed (Date & Places of travel with flight details)
• Copy of Singapore NRIC in case of foreign nationals
• Enrollment letter from school/Institute giving Registration number of the school/Institute with details of course or class to be joined and recent academic year of enrollment and applicant ’s details.
• 1 recent, coloured passport size photographs
• Requisite fee

EMPLOYMENT VISA

• Passport with minimum validity of one year and 2 blank pages
• Application forms duly filled and signed (Date & Places of travel with flight details)
• Copy of Passport and Singapore NRIC
• Letter of Employment from employer mentioning employee details with designation, name and address of the employer, place and tenure of posting etc
• Copy of Employment Contract
• Copy of Registration of company in India
• 1 recent, coloured passport size photographs
• Requisite fee

RENEWAL OF EMPLOYMENT VISA

• To be extended/renewed from India only

CONFERENCE VISA

• Passport with minimum validity of six months and 2 blank pages
• Application Forms duly filled and signed (Date & Places of travel with flight details)
• Copy of Passport and Singapore NRIC
• Letter from Host Organisation inviting to attend conference (In case of Political and Scientific Conferences, approval from competent Indian Ministry is required for the Conference)
• 1 recent, coloured passport size photographs
• Requisite fee

TRANSIT VISA

• If transit is on tourist visa, copy of confirmed ticket with all the above requirements
• If transit is on Business visa, copy of confirmed ticket with letter from company specifying the details of travel and invitation letter.
• If transit is for boarding a vessel in India, Letter of Invitation from Indian Company is required.

JOURNALIST VISAS

• Passport with minimum validity of six months and 2 blank pages
• Application Forms duly filled and signed to be submitted personally by the applicant at IHC (Date & Places of travel with flight details)
• Copy of passport and Singapore NRIC
• Recommendation letter from Employer with purpose of visit
• Invitation letter from Indian Company
• 1 recent, coloured size photographs
• Requisite fee

RESEARCH VISAS

• Passport with minimum validity of six months and 2 blank pages
• Application Forms duly filled and signed and submitted personally by the applicant ( Date & Places of travel with flight details )
• Copy of passport and Singapore NRIC
• Letter from School/Institution in India where the Research will be undertaken with registration details of the Institute
• 1 recent, coloured passport size photographs
• Requisite fee

MEDICAL VISAS

• Passport with minimum validity of six months and 2 blank pages
• Application Forms duly filled and signed (Date & Places of travel with flight details)
• Copy of Singapore NRIC in case of foreign nationals
• Request letter by applicant mentioning purpose and duration of visa.
• Letter from Doctor or Diagnostic report for treatment in India.

VISA FOR MAIDS WORKING IN SINGAPORE
(Single entry visa will be issued for short-term visit)

• Passport with minimum validity of six months and 2 blank pages
• Application Forms duly filled and signed ( Date & Places of travel with flight details )
• Copy of passport and Singapore NRIC for maid as well as employer
• Undertaking for Maid ’s visit by the employer
• 1 recent, coloured passport size photographs

ENTRY VISAS

• Passport with minimum validity of six months and 2 blank pages

• Copy of passport and Singapore NRIC

Additional documents according to purpose of visit as follows :

1. Volunteer for Social Work
   • Letter from the Representing Organisation
   • Letter of Invitation from Host Organisation/Institute in India
   
2. Internship / Global Exchange Programme / Cultural Exchange Programme
   • Letter from Singapore Institute / Organisation
   • Letter of Invitation from Indian Institute / Organisation
   • Letter from Institute / University as specified in Students’ Visa
   
3. Social Visits to stay with family
   • Letter from the applicant specifying the specific purpose of stay
   • Details of spouse’s passport / Singapore IC and Marriage certificate if visa is requested on spouse’s Indian residential status.
   
4. Minor living with grandparents in India
   • Undertaking from both the parents
   • Copies of Passport and Singapore NRIC of Parents
   • Residential Address with contact numbers and Passport details of grandparents
   • Undertaking from Guardian for Registration of stay at nearest FRRO

Visa for holders of Bangladesh / Sri lanka / China (PRC) / Nigeria / Iran

TOURIST VISA

• Visa subject to approval
• Check with IHC before sending stamping fee

BUSINESS VISA

TOURIST VISA

Transfer of Visas

Transfer of visa can be done from old passport to new passport on producing of the old passport containing the visa. If the old passport is lost visa cannot be transferred.

If the visa is issued by HCI, Singapore visa will be transferred next working day and fee charged

If the visa is issued by any other Mission, processing time will be five working days.

• Telex fee to be charged and check for approval before bringing for stamping.

Singaporeans / Foreigners of Pakistan Origin

• Only telex fee to be charged
• Visa subject to approval
• Stamping fee not to be taken without checking from IHC
